Kai Wei's actual birthday day!

For Kai wei's birthday, we went to this Korean restaurant --Sarang, Heartbeal of Seoul -- recommended by Joanna! i think it's level 7, & there's a indoor & alfresco seatings.
Lester is like really funny! LOL. i'm forever amused!
Their food is really nice! i had this Volcano chicken thingy with mashed potato. the mashed potato is good, it has a very buttery taste & very soft! the chicken is garnished with almond flakes & though i dont really think it went very well with my chicken (a weird combination, or so i thought,) it's crisp & remember not to discount it's nutritional value! (:

i wonder how does anyone slice an almond into such thin flakes.

the rice is cooked to a dewy & tangy perfection, & their soup based dishes like the soya beany & kimchi soup are addictive & yet don't seem to be artificial in its flavour!

Will visit again. Prices wise, ranges around $20. But i would say it's worth every penny. they also have a free flow of ikan bilis (MY FAV) & kimchi!
& after a satisfying meal, my family had to provoke me with this spread. it's so awesome but i'm damn full already! so can't help it but just wait for another day like this to arrive! LOL. (:

Hope Kai wei enjoyed her day (:

Kai Wei's b'day pre-celebration!

& so Jia Min this bestie of ours who is forever MIA finally showed up, & heartwarmingly, on the most important occassions of the year! YAY! :D We settled for Lenas, a subsidary outlet of MOF in Nex, the newly opened shopping centre at Serangoon. It's really big, but nothing there would draw my attention, it's just another shopping centre with the common stores like Charles & Keith & Diva.

B-O-R-I-N-G

So i would always love to emphasize on the fact that everything can be monotonous/dull, but just get your company right & all will be fine! :D
i actually taught them how to do the icing on cakes! WAHAH!
& there's the food. i shan't comment much because there's nothnig really good about their food. My fish & chips was fried with a very thick layer of flour & the flour is as thick as the fish, so i can't taste my fish (it's already the very cheapo dory).

I wouldn't come here again for the food. desserts? i'd rather go to MOF which is really just next door?

LOL. kai wei abusing my donkey called 'xiao cat' ('da cat' being my bf) & our ghastly faces. *ROAR* lol.

went into this party shop & i think kai wei looks better with the mask. HAHAHS! also saw this gigantic eeyore which is so ugly because the nose looked like its eyes. HAHAS.
Nex has this rooftop water playground which is so bloody crowded & full of kids running around. i hate playful kids. kids should stay at home & study all day. Muaahhaha. there's a reason why i dont wanna have kids. i want them to be ultra tamed. :) & for that reason, i rather get a dog. i want a standard poodle (:

they also have this pet cafe which i thought was pretty interesting. We saw many cute dogs! Nex shopping centre has a lift built specially for pets to go up to that rooftop cafe but i am pretty amused there was a malay couple who took that lift because i thought they cant' have physical contact with dogs. ??????!!?!?

& unfortunately there's no decent bakery in Nex, & neither did their Jack's place have the mango cake so we ordered the tiramisu, chocolate mousse, and mango slices as kai wei's pathetic cake.

SORRY LA (: NEXT YR WILL BE BETTER :D
& the makeshift candle in the cup. LOL. also bought this mini postcards thingy & these two ladies actually asked me to send them & chose their own designs! HAHAHAS! FUNNY LAR.

i love days like this. how i wish everyday can be spent like that. (:

Elaine's birthday at Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant

it's Elaine's birthday! i bought her a Longchamp bag & here's birthday girl with a smile!
dad brought us to Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant! YAY! i've been wanting to eat this for the longest time ever... *drool*

This place is at the Turf Club City, if i am not wrong, it is located at the previous turf club.

what's best about this place is that you get to 'catch' your own seafood! just walk a few steps down the lane, you'll see a live seafood market which supplies the fresh, living seafood for the restaurant. & i dont know WTF is a Geoduck clam. Apparently it's freaking expensive!
the crabs are so freaking big, 3 of them is enough to make up the height of me squatting down.
& there is dad, brother & sister-in-law with Xavier baby at the market selecting our seafood (:
boyfriend showing the 'thumbs up' sign! HAHAHAS! what a loser pose?!
live frogs & some crab whichs looks funny & is not for sale.
here's our feast! a freaking fresh red garoupa steamed. I swallowed the whole thing!
& dad ordered 3 of their most expensive abalone. $100++ each!
Madness. but dad claims the cartwheel abalone can brand is better. LOL. because it's freaking tough!
the menu says ham prawns. but i dont see the ham. HAHAA.
i think crystal jade's mapo tofu is way better. it just tastes different. but this is not that bad too.
chilli crab. (:
stirfried kailan w humongous scallop. heaven.
again, crystal jade's mango pudding is better. I think we should go to crystal jade next time. HAHA. but crystal jade is more expensive! their coke costs $4.5! here it costs $3 only!
new boyfriend. LOL.
pict w dad! (:
Damage is $592.62. we're always burning a hole in dad's pocket. but i love it when dad insists that we shouldnt scrimp on food. It's a necessity. Ironic that he dont see extravagrant meals as extravagrant. So it's good fortune for our stomach! YAY.

i love daddY!

Unfortunately, Kaiwei missed out on this meal. Again. ):
