Muddy Road

Two monks, Tanzan & Ekiddo, were once travelling down a muddy road. Rounding a bend, they came across a lovely girl in a silk kimono, unable to cross the wet road.

"Come on, girl," said Tanzan at once. Lifting her in his arms, he carried her over the mud.

Ekido did not speak again until that night when they reached a lodging temple. The he could no longer restrain himself. "We monks don't go near females," he told Tanzan. "Especially not young & lovely ones. It is dangerous. Why did you do that?"

"I left the girl there," said Tanzan. "Are you still carrying her?"

I have to share a witty story. Do you get what this story is trying to say?

This story is about 2 monks, and one of them helped a girl. The other was disturbed by the thought that his partner had a physical encounter with the girl & voiced out his concerns. But what really happened is that the helpful monk was pure at heart, he helped the girl for the sake of helping.

Yet the monk who voiced his concern, was really the one who was jealous of that physical encounter his partner had, & was the one, who couldn't let his emotions go.

& the helpful monk, not wanting to be quarrelsome created a witty rhetorical question to allow his partner to realise his corrupted intentions.

OH I LOVE LIT!!!
