Yes, i have a craving again! Yu Kun Kaya toast! HAHHAA! & bf's sister gave us vouchers, & this in total only costs us bout $7 i think. normal price would be $10 ++ already!
& in a bid to accompany me for the night, my very lovely & understanding boyfriend brought me to macdonalds to do my homework while he munches on nuggets & watch his soccer match! :D

& of course, steamboat with grill is all time favourite! :D & tons of free flow meat + prawns + hotdogs + bacon & no VEGGIES.

Midnight excursion: Marina Bay Sands, Double Helix Bridge

Caught a movie at Century Square with Jun Kai & bf, we roamed around Tampines, pranced outside Wendy's like nocturnal animals, aimless like street sleepers.

It's one of those moments when you just finished something you were doing, & all of a sudden you're lost & don't know what else there is to do.

& so we called up people, had ian & Yu Jiang to join us. & we went to look for the Double Helix Bridge! YAY! (i'm not suah ku okay, i just didn't have the time to go take a look. Which is why i'm doing it now!)
this place is not that fantastic. with half the lights turned off. Chey.
Nevertheless, i'm happy! :D there's one Wilson Parking space near the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, costs only $3 per hour & not only it's near the Hotel, it's charging by the minute! U can save alot if you don't intend to stay for long! & mind you, it's the cheapest around that place OKAY! the hotels are charging like $8 per hour!

This shopping centre is practically dead. there's only a 24 hour Food court which doesn't have much variety & is freaking expensive!
& yes, you get to peek at the casino! :D but i hate it because they allow smoking inside the casino. & i can smell it even when i'm 3 levels above the casino. can't imagine when i'm inside!
& YES! FINALLY, THE DOUBLE HELIX BRIDGE!

it's not even lighted up. It sucks. but i managed to strike this place off my list. so that calls for celebration. I have 11 more places to visit before i'm really done with Singapore.
It takes less than 10 min to walk through this thing so don't bother to come here really. Not a place for romance because i see alot of people walking by, even at 3am in the morning. So nay to putting this place into the list of "recommended romantic places".
Oh, you should really come here for supper. I swear the prata here is 10000xxxx times better than the Jalan Kayu Prata or The Prata Shop or even Casurina. Cheese Prata is a must try! for non-cheese lovers, well i guess u can eat other stuffs! it's not like they don't offer the normal selection! LOL.

& ours is an abalone yu sheng. LOL. Modified because some of us don't eat raw salmon!

My family's tradition is to gather around at new year's eve so that we get all our red packets & we visit all my paternal side relatives. & therefore, i don't have much visiting to do when we do this!

& yes, my cousin's husky, Milo, weighs over 20 KG. i almost dropped the dog. OMG. I swear my arms gave way! & look at it, it's so cute! like a mini kangaroo!
& of course! Darling gets to carry him!

& yes. both of us reaped the benefits from both sides of our family. = more $$ for dating! hahahahhaas! YAY!

I've made mini pancakes for us today. I'm really good at it. No, the art of making pancakes isn't as easy as it seems, it's not just about pan frying flour. It's really about putting the right amount of water into the batter, the right amout of oil in the pan, & the getting right temperature of the fire.

So here's my way of making pancakes:

Water :
-I really don't know how to tell you how much water to put. Gauge yourself. It comes with more practise (:

- to be on the safe side, just follow instructions behind the packaging.

-You may want to use milk to make your pancake more flavourful. (:

Fire :
-Fire cannot be too big, your pancake will burn.

-Fire cannot be too small either, your pancake's face will turn brown to black if you slow cook it. & either too big a fire or too small, will result in a pancake with a burnt face, and taste sooty & burnt.

-The fire has to be medium. [Oh u guess it right! ;)]

Oil

-U really cannot scrimp on the oil. If you do, u won't get those nice golden brown edges that lines the pancake. They give the boring pancake a texture twist. You get crunchy edges! (& yeah, i'm saying pancakes without the crispy edges LIKE MACDONALD'S, are boring!)

-but of course, if you're very health conscious, u can even skip the oil with a non-stick pan. But be warned it's gonna taste ugly.
Completing it with a pack of stir fried bacons & the meal is complete! It's sinful + awesome! & yeah, i kope-d Macdonalds Maple syrup because i just happened to have one with me (: & u know it's good.

Supermarkets are selling Macdonald's Maple Syrup for $14.80 - $15 ++. It's not worth the price when u can always save a packet when you visit! It's not being cheapo okay! Not like you eat pancakes EVERYDAY?! & that Maple Syrup bottle is soooo BIGGGG, i think even before you finish it, you'll either get diabetes, or, it'll be expired.

It's either you die, or the maple syrup dies. LOL. boyfriend & i didn't even use half of that mac's maple syrup!

Therefore, i think Macdonalds syrup should be sold in smaller quantities. To cater to people like me who don't see the value in buying a ultra big bottle of syrup which i barely use, but still have the use for it. :D


& At night, bf & i visited Long John Silvers because they were having a grand opening promotion.

"Don't Miss the catch of the Day!"

& yeah, i didn't miss it. It was a free Fish with every meal purchased. & their Fish is pretty fresh! *only this outlet, i think.

We also had Mango pomelo sago! It was on promotion too! because this Clementi new shopping centre just opposite the MRT station have just opened from their revamp. Usual price was $4.90 or sth so it was a steal! YAY.

My day couldn't be better, when lastly, i realised that i have left my laptop carelessly in the toilet of that shopping centre. BUT, people with integrity still exist! they logged into my MSN & tried to contact me. created a great hoo-hah & stirred a commotion amongst my friends. & suddenly my friends kept sms-ing me to verify the statements of that Samaritan, whether i did lose my laptop.

I panicked. But luckily that guy was very kind, the Samaritan even took the trouble to send my laptop over to the East side, since he was driving. The deed have regained my faith in humanity that not everyone is corrupted.

I ADVOCATE INTEGRITY & ABHOR PEOPLE WITHOUT SUCH VALUES.

Porbably i wouldn't feel the pain for losing a laptop because i'm not that needy. IMAGINE SOME POOR GUY/GIRL/HOUSEHOLD WHO USED UP EVERY PENNY IN THE HOUSE, OR SAVE UP FOR YEARS TO HELP THEM IN THEIR EDUCATION NEEDS LOSE IT. the person who picked what's not theirs did not only steal a laptop from them, but also cause agony & losing of the competitive edge among their peers.

& sadly, ONLY education is about the most constructive & workable way for people to break out of their poverty cycle.

I can't imagine. & probably that person gained something, but lost their conscience in the process too. & one that will haunt him forever.

Remember, "All that glitters is not gold".

Last baking lesson, & pawn changi tonight !

Played overnight mahjong.... damn shag! till 7am! but i still had to go for baking lessons later on, so i didnt get to sleep much! & i have to do this now...
In preparation for my last lesson, i had to ice my own cake first! first i get a ready made cake for only $1.95 from sheng siong! It's really convenient, & it didnt taste that bad, so it'll make a good cake for birthdays! only if u wanna make everything by hand! HAHAHA.

then i coloured the icing...PURPLE! cause this was intended as a surprise gift for Kai wei's belated birthday. AHAHHA.
then u spread it over, in chunks! and you rotate the cake around! & there you go! i'm not that skilled so that explains the edgy edge. furthermore, my icing wasnt' of the right consistency. It should be thicker!

Leave it to crust. & because it was too watery, i had to put it inside the fridge for it to crust.
so we are there.... we had to decorate our own cake & we learnt how to do the ribbon rose on our last lesson! (:
Allyson was so nice to teach us how to do the Wilton rose too! it's the one with more petals! it looks so awesome!

& this is my cake! yay! hope Kai Wei liked it! & it's not meant for her to eat, just to see see only. cause the cake expires the following day! HAHAHAS!
& this was Carmen's cake! i drew the cute piggy, & that's patrick ng. LOL.
Some other very lovely decorations done by the others..... it wasn't the best of our creativity, & the pictures didn't do us much justice. We had so little time to decorate! so i guess this is the best we could do in such a limited time




& we took one last shot with Allyson. She has been a very patient & lovely teacher! (:

& in the afternoon, hwee kiat drove me to eat my long-craved for Bakutteh! I keep forgetting to take down their address/store name. so you guys could go try some other time. it's pretty good! & if you drive, it's free parking. it's in Katong. somewhere near Katong Mall (& it's under renovation btw)
Have i told you how much i love the life here at the East side?! almost every weekend i get to go out with bf's buddies & roam around the place for supper, mahjong & chilling sessions!

HAHA. this shot is damn kuku. we were playing veggie samurai on the ipad, until we got chased away by the staff there saying that we have to buy their stuff if we wanna play on their ipad. WTH. LOL.
settled for Swensens after much deliberation. it was a pain choosing the place because Yuxiang insisted on TCC, some didnt wanna go far, some didnt wanna eat 'high-class' food. HAHAHA. so we settled for this. convenient, & not so "HIGH-CLASS"!
